Oásis Atlântico is a Portuguese economic group born in Cape Verde in the 90's, with more than 20 years of growth in the areas of tourism and real estate.

About Us

Oásis Atlântico is a Portuguese economic group born in Cape Verde in the 90s and which has already experienced more than 20 years of growth in the tourism and real estate – tourism sector.

From Cape Verde, the leap was taken to the Northeast of Brazil in 2000, and in 2019 the Group entered Morocco, specifically in Saidia.

Currently, the Group has 8 Hotels – 6 in Cape Verde, 2 in Northeast Brazil, in the State of Ceará, in Fortaleza, and 1 in Saidia, Morocco.

It also has several real estate projects in Cape Verde and Brazil.

Our History

1998

Acquisition in the process of privatization of three hotel units – Hotel Belorizonte (90 rooms, Sal Island), Hotel Praiamar (59 rooms, Santiago Island), Hotel Xaguate (18 rooms, Fogo Island).
First expansion of the Hotel Belorizonte (Sal) with over 83 bungalows and all the support equipment (desalters, solar energy, etc), including the construction of a new restaurant with ample entertainment space (Bar Salinas);

1999

New construction of the Hotel Novorizonte (Sal), with 130 bungalows.
1999 represented the group’s first attempt at functional diversification with the start-up of activities by ACV – the Avis rent-a-car concessionaire for Cape Verde. The entire Motors area started up during 2001 and 2002.

2000

Construction of 60 new superior rooms at the Belorizonte hotel (Sal), including a new swimming pool, a new reception and a modernly equipped meeting room.
The first phase of the renovation of the Praiamar hotel is inaugurated, with the opening of a café-concert space next to the Hotel, called “Capital Café-concerto”. In terms of geographic diversification, the start-up year was 2000 with the acquisition of several lands in Ceará, Brazil, for hotel and tourism exploration, which was consolidated in the 2001 opening of the Hotel Praia das Fonte”.

2001

Expansion to Ceará, Brazil, with the opening of a 253-room resort – the Hotel Praia das Fontes, on the beach of the same name (south of Fortaleza).
The hotel in question was pre-existing, having been renovated and fully refurbished and redecorated;

2004

Completion of the renovation and expansion works at the Oásis Praiamar hotel, which now offers 123 rooms, including 3 suites and 1 presidential suite;

2005

Opening of the Oásis Atlântico complex in Fortaleza, including two hotel units – Oásis Atlântico Imperial ***** and Oásis Atlântico Fortaleza ****
With a convention center with capacity for up to 1700 people, a shopping center with various food, craft, fashion and other stores;

2007

Beginning of the renovation and redecoration of the Oásis Atlântico Belorizonte and Novorizonte hotels, on the island of Sal, Cape Verde, including the creation of new living and leisure areas;

2008

Start of work on the Salinas Sea project;

2010

Merger of Belorizonte and Novorizonte Hotels in Cape Verde;

2012

Renovation of rooms at Oásis Atlântico Fortaleza & Imperial Hotels;

2013

Opening of the Hotel Oásis Atlântico Salinas Sea on Ilha do Sal. First 5* unit of the group in Cape Verde;

2014

Renovation of 25 rooms at the Hotel Oásis Atlântico Porto Grande, on the island of S.Vicente;

2015

Complete renovation of the Oásis Praiamar Hotel.

Reopening with new rooms and new leisure areas;

2016

Beginning of the renovation of the spaces of the Hotel Belorizonte, and addition of another 72 bungalow rooms;

2017

Requalification and Renovation of Hotel Porto Grande in Cape Verde;

2018

Renovation of Oásis Imperial and Oásis Fortaleza Hotels in Brazil;

2019

Acquisition of the Hotel Oásis Atlântico in Saïdia, Morocco;

2019

Opening of the Atlantic Oasis Hotels in Saidia, Morocco.

2022

Opening of the Tarrafal Alfandega Suits, in Tarrafal, Santiago Island.
